suspension bush lubrication?
Discussion
have not been out in the car for a while and went for a blast today, there was a right old sqeeking from the drivers rear area which I can only describe as a couple of canaries going at it.....would I be right in assuming the bushes are dry, I changed them out about 12months ago and thought I packed them sufficiently with grease, but maybe not enough? If its not these or anything obvious it could be I need to have a career break from my Pie Taster job......
could be a hell lot of sources for the "birds"..to generate a sound like that, hearable when engine is turned on, you´d have to run metal bushes without grease
...think about parts like Doors, Hinges, Bolts not tightened, the pedals (mine do squeak), alloy panels where rivets losened a bit.....
...think about parts like Doors, Hinges, Bolts not tightened, the pedals (mine do squeak), alloy panels where rivets losened a bit.....thanks Lutz....went though likely sources of the noise and found out one of the rear clip brackets had a fatigue crack which was half way through the bracket, factory advised me that the bracket can work harden and eventually crack, sent old front/back brackets back so they can use as a template to make some new ones. I have an older Spyder model so probably only relevent to Sport/Spyder owners to check.
nice to hear, you got the source...Didn´t really get, what you mean with "pin pip-bracket"...The rectangle taking the struts for the rear body, or the suspension of the body front/rear where the 12.7mm bolts go through and which are laminated into the GRP ? Got some pics...If it is what I´m thinking of, I might have a very proper solution for you...

Different arrangement at the front of the rear clip on a Sport. (pre GTR)
