F1 LM broken down on the M1!!!!!
Discussion
I'm still in shock but it's true!! I was heading up the M1 on my
way back from the Porsche festival when just as I passed the main
Sheffield turn off near Meadowhall, there it was.....a McLaren F1 LM
parked on the hard shoulder broken down
I've never even seen an F1 on the road never mind an LM, hell there
was only 5 built (6 if you count the prototype) & here is one broken
down on the M1!!
There was a low loader parked in front of it and a couple of people
, one of whom I presume was the driver chatting.
Now I was doing 70 or 80 but unless there is a superb LM replica
kitcar made this was a very unusual sight!!
Did anyone else see an LM on the roads today...tell me I'm not cracking
up

Hi there,
The car was at Donington today for the Le Mans Series event.
It is not actually an LM, it is a ex McLaren F1 race car which has been rebuilt as an LM replica.
Here are some pics: -
Sorry to hear it broke down, the owner is a nice guy and was more than happy to talk about his car today at Donington.
Regards
Tim

Have to ask, is Mr bridger the bloke who was on 5th gear? ie the one with the Enzo and F1
He is the one and same
Was discussing this guy a few weeks ago with a mate of mine, we were trying to work out if hes was from West Yorks, sounds like he may be. All the same sounds like a top guy and a real petrolhead

Errrmmmm..... Yes we did!! Unfortunately, it happened rather late in the day on our way back from Donnington. We had tickets to go and see the Rolling Stones (who were absolutely fantastic ) so we left the car with the tow truck guy! A big for him cos he went above and beyond the call of duty. Quite an eventful day for myself and Mr Bridger.
