4 Star Additive - Which One? Any Other Options?

I don't know why i've never asked this before. Hopefully someone is bored enough to enlighten me!; Is there any difference in the additives used to make a 4 Star engine run on unleaded? Does anyone have any recommendations? Does it make a difference if super unleaded is used instead of standard unleaded?

My Dad uses the Castrol stuff in his TR6. I would guess it wouldn't make any difference if you used super or "normal" unleaded as you are adding a lead additive not upping the RON.

I used the castrol stuff in my mini, you can get this with or without octane booster which is nice....the trick is to choose one and stick with it, there are two different types, each using a different base chemical I think, and it is not recommended to mix them.

Come to my local...... they have real full on leaded 4Star.... not the lead replacement stuff either

Regards to Super versus regular. If you can get it always go for the Super Unleaded fuel. The S1 was desinged to run on leaded petrol which has a higher Octane rating than regular unleaded. This can lead to poor performance if regular unleaded is used in your S1 and possibly some engine damage if the ECU is not programmed for the lower octane rated fuel. Super unleaded is a higher octane rating similar to leaed fule so doesnt have any performance loss or engine problems.
