GEAR KNOB

Anyone know where I can get a cool gear knob from for my S3, had a look on Ebay and don't fancy any of them!

Suppose it depends what you define as "cool" - what sort of thing do you have in mind ??

Hi Graham, I don't know really, when I see it I'll know! The one's on Ebay are chrome and this doesn't work with my interior so I'm thinking a nice leather or wooden effect one but certainly a quality one! Do you know of any websites for me to root on?

Hmm - Most people I have seen have gone for the alloy gear knob which you can compliment with an alloy handbrake lever from Leven Technology - if you are looking for a leather one then considering its a Ford type 9 gear box and therefore gear stick thread then maybe some of the Ford aftermarket places may have something you might like.

Other than that I think your best bet is with the likes of Sparco, Momo, Richbrook or the like - Deamon Tweaks carry quite a comprehensive range.

Looking good Andy - depends on what you want to spend and how far you want to go but Leebee on here manufactures some vary nice kit similar to the Leven stuff i.e. alloy instrument bezzels - switches etc - I have a catalogue and price list which I think is a bit out of date as I read recently he has extended his range but I can mail it to you if you like - you will have to private mail me through my profile as PH mailing does not have the facility to insert attachments.

just one quick point on gear knobs which i'm sure you all know, when i took the old one off, there is a little plastic inner part that i did not take out and threw away...

this was a sleve to stop the new one rattling at speed....so buy new one, check for plastic inner part, or take the one out of the old one...

I have since bough a piece of plastic pipe screwed this on, then new alloy knob on top...!!!
