Obviously we all know that the fans in mini's generate about as much air as a 1 year old blowing out a candle on a birthday cake. So whats the alternative? Short of rigging up a microlight fan to it, is there any way I can 'Supe up' the fan. Without adding a second battery preferably
i used to have an old leaky kitcar (mini jem) based on the mini, and one of the best improvements i ever did to it was to fit a late (post'97) mini heater to it.
these later ones are 2 speed, and seem to move a lot more air than the earlier ones, to such an extent that it actually kept the screen acceptably clear driving around town on a rainy day!
i seem to remember seeing them for sale at autojumbles, and from specialist mini breakers.

I put a two speed fan in my K-93 car (after the originals heater core leaked). Noticeable difference in performance, and the later 97 cars had larger outlet tubing and fishtail ducts to the windcreen as a result. Get the whole package of bits and you'll greatly improve your demist performance.

Does that mean buying a later topdash rail aswell?
