Gone Fishing!!!

obviously the tuscan is not built to go fishing at all, and yes i know that if im going fishing i should take the work van or car but.........

have you ever been driving out in the countryside and gone past a little river or lake that is just begging to be fished?!? one thats in the middle of nowhere miles from where your fishing stuff is!!(even if its a puddle in my case ) AND THOUGHT, 'I WISH I HAD A ROD WITH ME!'

anyone??

what i am after is any info about rods that will break down into 4 or 5 pieces so that it can permenantly be stored in the tuscan so ive got it to hand whenever i feel the need to not be tearing up tarmac and for when i manage to find a place in the middle of nowhere that is need of a rod being dangled!!

What about a telescopic one. I can even fit one in the boot of my Griff

I know they're sort of a jack of all trades and master of none, but its amazing just how many fish can be caught on "the wrong gear"

Sad to say, I take a little kit with me wherever I go. Has an 8ft tele rod and a little bag of tackle - about the size of a small toolbox. You never know when opportunity knocks

I go fishing in my cerb all the time with 3 x 12 foot rods, fishing basket, bed chair,landing net,keep net, kettle, stove, water,electric fridge,honestly it all goes in.

The depth from the front passenger footwell to the rear window is easily 6 ft so any fishing rod which breaks into two or three will easily do it.

Even my nephew's 14m pole will easily fit in as it goes into about 4ft sections, so with a bit of thought its easy peasy, telescopic rods I wouldn't have thought would hold a decent size carp ?

Honestly tuscan or tamora either will do it, must admit, sometimes I struggle to get it all back in when I'm rushing if its raining etc,but mostly its not a problem.

What about a telescopic pole? I bough a really nice one in a french supermarket that's about 4' long when packed.

Contact some of your favourite tackle makers directly such as ABU and DAIWA and ask them to send you their catalogues. You will find a lot of very good gear such as multi-purpose, telescopic and travel rods. Your local tackle dealer won't stock many of these items but can order them for you.

i have managed to source, via a guy who is well in with the ccg (catfish conservation group) a tidy little rod.
its a four piece 9 foot rod that for the money seems fantastic value, its a 2 and a quarter pound test curve through action which feels absolutely amazing in the hand. a little shimano 6010 fits snuggly into the tuscan too, perfect!!
all that for 30 quid i thought was a deal!!

will be excellent for those days when the carp are cruising and eating my sarnies off the top!!

I take the cerb to my mates Lake 10 mins from Le Mans, i can easily get my 2 piece 13ft Infinities in the car, however I do leave a lot of gear over there.
Anyone who fancies a trip out there Carping and Hooning for a week drop me an email.

I`d love to go fishing in the S2, but I think towing the boat with an S2 is frowned upon
