TVR - What does it mean?

So I'm fairly new to TVR ownership and I'm concerned someone is going to ask me one day:

"So, what does TVR stand for then?"

I don't have a clue!

Can someone enlighten me?

TVR comes from the name of the man that started it all in the first place, it's a shortened form of his first name. TREVOR WILKINSON.

Just his usual jaundiced sense of humour I expect. A Scot living in the USA who claims to own a TVR Griffith but prefers his MX5, work that one out! Perhaps he's jealous of us TVR owners who actually drive our cars - presumably his is in a lock-up in Scotland

Come on chaps play fair. You do know he's a top Celeb in Beverly Hills with lots of influential friends in Hollywood. He's also an authority on every single brand and make of car out there, especially TVR's and Aston Martin's. I think your both being a little harsh on the fella. I for one look out for his useful and informative contributions to the life blood that is called Pistonheads. It's definitely a better place with him here.
