Sorry Guys - another old chestnut!!

I've decided to sell my GT3, not because it isn't a truely amazing bit of kit but because it's a little too hardcore for everyday driving (IMHO), and because my business involves visiting building sites - I can't get anywhere near them coz of my lack of ground clearence!!

What's it worth??

Mark 1, Speed Yellow, 14,000 miles, Original comfort spec (no mods), Yellow belts and dials, Full OPC sevice history, 10 Months OPC warrenty, Tracker.

As ever, your thoughts would be appreciated.

£45k ++ (ish)

Sounds like a really nice original example and the low mileage and Porsche Warranty should make it fairly easy to sell.

But, why not keep it and buy a cheap tin top for the building sites?

Tried that - but then every morning I get up, go to the garage and ...hmmmmmmmmmmm Do I take the Twingo van or do I take the GT3? I just can't help myself!!! We're cursed with our love of the bl**dy things!!

I'd say closer to £47-8 with that mileage. maybe not the best time of year to sell though ..............

I think Geneve has hit the nail on the head, use the Twingo for everyday mundane stuff, then when you do use the GT3 it becomes much more of an event and stops you taking it for granted. the old "familiarity breeds contempt" syndrome really.

Once you sell it you'll regret it.

About £65k I reckon. I'm sure all the other MK1 GT3 owners on here will agree.

You need to ask yourself why you want to sell. If it is because you don't want to use it for work then exert some self control and use the twingo. If it will stay in the garage undriven then sell it to someone who will drive it. Otherwise keep it and enjoy the grin it puts on your face each time you just simply take it out for a hoon.driving

I reckon you'll be lucky to swap it for a X reg boxster S, and as today is your lucky day just let me know when you want to do the swap

with 14,000 miles you can't have been using it for everyday driving anyway so why does it matter how hardcore it is? Really you just want a turbo more than the gt3 don't you

A Cayenne Turbo, presumably.

John...can't believe you're selling it! A Turbo?! Surely not. I'd say it was worth at least what I sold it you for...but don't do it. You'll regret it - I have. Gus

John, don't sell it. I've got a speed yellow MK 1 GT3 Clubsport and as others have suggested have a boring everyday car (a silver 206) for mundane journeys to work leaving the GT3 for trackdays and weekend drives.

Don't sell it. You'll regret it!
