Fancied a pair of the modded seat belt mountings,managed to get 2 pieces of SS bar slightly oversize for £4.50 at Astle Park Steam Engine Rally at the weekend.
Took them to Contract Engineering in Stockport Cheshire 0161 480 5673 and met 2 great blokes Tim and Lawrence,they machined the parts to the drawing for £40 not including Drilling and tapping,finish and radius's are really good.They are a small eng'g firm who are prepared to do 1 off parts at reasonable cost,I said I would give them a mention on here if they were interested which obviously they were.I did try several other eng'g firms who basically weren't interested unless I wanted quantities.So you could do worse than give these people a try if you need any machining doing.
