Noticeable noise from air con pump?

Morning,

I can hear my air con pump/compressor pretty well from inside the car? Anybody else notice this .. its not very noticeable from the outside tho ...

I would assume it would be a new pump as i am guessing they are not serviceable?

If so, why worry....

I used to be a complete perfectionist about my car. To the point of absurdity. Now I am using it every day to commute it has a chip in the screen and plenty of stonechips. The suspension also creaks a little when it's hot and she's done nearly 53k miles....

But to be honest now it has some minor marks etc I am enjoying it much more.

Is this is 996? Mine sounds like the air-con is diesel powered and will get it sorted when I can be bothered. Still blows cold though so not a pressing issue.

yer it still works its just a little irritating and as im off to france soon i didnt want it to fail. Unless the warranty company want to pay for it ill leave it then cheers for advice
