S-Hants to Goodwood Sprint Sat 19th

The annual round of the TVRCC Sprint championship is on at Goodwood this Saturday, this national event will have approx 100 vehicles of all classes competing including 6 Tivs i believe, as usual it`s free to spectate, and you can come and go as you please, a few of us are having a run out on Saturday and we will end up at Goodwood, like we have for the past few years.If you want to come along, WICKHAM COMMUNITY CENTRE 10.30 ish for a 10.45 ish getaway, please note it`s not the Square as it gets a bit to busy on a Saturday. E.T.A GOODWOOD after a little run should be 12.15 ish. We can then get the whole of the afternoon session in which will start at 1.30.

There are 16 TVR Drivers entered for Goodwood on Saturday, I'm unsure how many are sharing cars, but there should be more than 6 TVRs out there.

I can offer you a lift, however I won't be in any convoy as yet as I am still limited to my 3000 rpm (78mph)? so free to turn up when it suits..let me know

I've had my 'finals' in for Goodwood on Saturday, and it states no spectators, so I would suggest that you give the circuit a ring before planning any further, to avoid dissapointment.

Having been to watch the sprinting at Goodwood for the last couple of years, I can't believe this now a non-spectator event, unless somthing has changed.

I'll try and give them a call later.

I'd be very surprised if it was no spectators, besides all our convoy will be visiting the flying club and may pop across to have a nose at the cars

OK thanks for the warning, didn't mean to shoot the messenger so to speak .

The Goodwood rounds are normally attended by quite a few of us on the south coast, always a pleasure to watch Tivs doing what they were meant to do. Do you know if the purple shed is up and running yet , always nice to see what the lastest mods are, a list of runners and riders would be nice too .

I`ve tried to contact Goodwood today with no success I would be very surprised if no spectators where allowed in Any way we will stick to plan A, we should have at least 10 cars if we all turn up, Fingers crossed for the weather, my driving style don`t suit the rain, how ever 3 years ago a few of of us braved the horrendous rain and witnessed the best day out for a long time, the track action and trying to control a 380bhp animal on the way home


Lets hope with the new team at the helm we can get at least 1 run apart from the Hen an Chicken per month? This might encourage owners to either join or re-join the club, we will wait and see.Good luck to Mork and Mandy

Steve Cox - the TVRCC organiser - advises that BARC who is organising the event is quite happy with 'guests', just as long as they don't park in the paddock area (by the pit garages). There is a large car park nearby, just to the right hand side after the tunnel as you probably know. The public have access to the area anyway for Goodwood house etc, and if anyone does ask, any TVR owner is a guest of ours.
