boxster hard top fitting
Discussion
Hi
If I remember rightly, as you did not purchase the car with the hard top, you need to remove a couple of caps from the holes in the back.
you then put the front in at the windscreen, then push down slightly at the back whilst pulling the handle, this will lock the roof down.
Sorry if it's not perfect, been a long time...

Is the top the same as the 996, ie: rotate the quarter turn fasteners to the open position, fit top, turn fasteners to the locked position? Do you need a large allen key to operate the catches?
nope, different fixings to the rear on the boxster, you have to 'levers' that fold into the side of the hard top.
IIRC you may require a fitting kit on some boxsters
Unless the car has had hard-top fitted before (or perhaps the Boxster humps) then you will not have the "spin-locks". These are the brackets that the arms on the hard-top locate into. You need to get these from an OPC or a specialist and then fit them into the holes in the body - if you do a search for Boxster hardtop fitting or Boxster Spin locks, you will find numerous sites with advice.
