A friend of mine is interested in shared ownership with this at the moment and I am also tempted. The Runnymede Motor Company has it for sale at a very reasonable price given the build costs and specifications. They list as follows:
Numbers , original racing history
This car was built by Colin Blower Motorsport in 2001 to compete in the GT category of the Privilege Insurance British GT Championship. Colin Blower had already enjoyed a long and successful career in sports and GT racing, including winning the TVR Tuscan title while Edd Sharpe had progressed through Tuscan racing with the Blower team. Extensively modified in 2002 this car was last driven competitively in 2004 when it proved capable of running at the head of the field and finished on the podium on two occasions. The GT specification chassis incorporates an FIA approved roll cage and boasts additional strengthening, revised suspension pick-up points with inboard springs and dampers, heavy duty uprights, 100 litre bag tanks in Kevlar crash protection boxes and AP brake callipers, 6-pot at the front and 4-pot at the rear. Built by Peter Knight, the 6.8 litre Chevrolet V8 engine produces approx 560bhp (on restrictors) and is equipped with full Motec engine management and data logging systems. This engine is three races old from new whilst the latest Quaife six speed sequential transmission has one competitive outing to its credit. Costing over £250,000 to build, this competitive GT2 sports racer is eligible for numerous seriess worldwide, including Britcar, Belcar, Spanish GT etc and is a potential winner in the right hands!
Nice to see top British engine builder Peter Knight getting a mention for the recognition he deserves while representing the marque. Having closely followed the actual events makes this car that little bit more special.
