I have written a spreadsheet that calculates the shift points and maximum speeds in gear for a variety of G50 and Getrag gearboxes. You can download it here:
Shift Point Calculator

When you open the spreadsheet you will have to enable macros, as it needs a linear interpolation function that I wrote.

To use it first select the gearbox in cell C4 on the "shift points" tab.
Enter your dyno data in "Dyno Run + Tyres" sheet. Only enter in the cells with blue text, RPM and Torque.
To calculate the speed at the wheels you also need the tyre dimensions, I have put this in for the standard factory setup.

The third sheet, "ratios", has all of the gearbox ratios, you can obviously add your own on this sheet.

Once all the information has been entered go back to the shift points sheet and you can see the shift points and the the maximum speed, as well as the RPM in top gear for a given speed.

Mine said the macro had been blocked by security settings.

Perhaps it needs to be in a zip file.

Go to "tools"/"Options" then select the "security" tab. At the bottom right is a button marked "macro security" click that, then select "medium security". That means that whenever you open a spreadsheet with a macro it will ask you if you want to allow it.

In this case it isn't a macro, just a function that interpolates the torque between dyno rev points.

I'd be interested in seeing Clive's spreadsheet.

nice job yiihaa, I'm pleased to say your results were exactly the same as a spreadsheet I've developed to do the same thing, which was a relief for me The one thing I've done differently is to put a graph in there to make it easier to visualise. Your solution is a lot more technical than mine though.
