Don't know about new ones, but I looked at an S3 a while ago with a cracjed hoop and it looked like a couple of bits of metal either side with some decent screws/maybe bolts through ought to hold it..
I'd be careful if its broken low down, (i.e. near hinge) as I'm not sure of the strength of the repair and IIRC when broken low the roof panels were prone to lifting when driven at speed. Not a problem I have due to never driving with the lid on..

Unfortunatly its broken about 8 inches from the hinge, good idea maybee repair and alum plates to strenghern the rapair
