Guys,

I've just listed my car for sale in the classifieds section

www.pistonheads.com/sales/92266.htm

what do you think to the ad - too much info, too little, have I missed anything important?

I don't think you can have too much info. I've just sold my 993 and my ad had loadsa info.
If someone wants it then they'll get in touch.

One question - what was speed yellow like to live with as a colour?

Cheers guys.

Speed yellow is certainly less boring to live with than some colours and it does entice you to keep going to look at it on the driveway

I bought it off 'him' - RS is very well mate, just looking for some spare Cup 1's so I can paint em orange and have orange decals down the sides...then you won't miss me on track! How you doing - back in porker ownership yet?

yep nice advert and cracking looking car

slushmatic and turbo badge suggest to me original purchaser was a poser raher than a driver, but in that colour/spec its certainly a headturner

Looks nice on the block paving mate, shame you cant keep it for a shopping car !
Give Paul at P & H Sportscars a ring he'll probably have some Cup 1's lying around. Excellent colour choice btw, orange cage next maybe ?
Still trawling round the classifieds for somethin interesting........if only I'd sold the boxster a week earlier I'd have beaten you to it

I think you are right! If I was keeping the car I'd probably switch the badge back even though that's what it was purchased with originally...each to their own I suppose

Forgot about Paul - might give him a try.

The RS has already got a part black cage. LMK what your after and I'll keep my eyes peeled..you know I'm as sad as you looking at Porsches!

Had quite a few enquiries already today (although it is listed just about everywhere!) - any more opinions on ad content?

Looks pretty good to me.

Seems to give all the relevant info, you could possibly add who has maintained it for you, as well as the mileage at each service, also there is no pic of the rear of the car (turbo badge mentioned but not shown) or the front luggage compartment - could drop a couple of the side shots in favour of these.

Could also mention the year and that its a varioram car.

Do you have the original wheels?

I'd also ditch the RMS comment.

Love speed yellow ...

Cheers tertius,

You are limited with the pic numbers on here but I have quite a few - suppose could add rear and also say more pics available? Good point on it being a 1997 and varioram. Yes on wheels. RMS was just for the 996 pistonhead boys....thought someone would have picked up on that earlier tbh...I'll drop it soon...they do get wound up by it very easily (PS this is a joke please don't turn this thread into yet another RMS ruddy thread )

Thanks for reply mate.

Knowing the car I'd say it should sell quite easily its just a question of getting prospectives to view it first hand. Once you get that it will go.
IMHO the 19s look far better than the original turbo wheels anyway.
Maybe go to photobucket and host some more images there and add the link to the classified advert on here to show more of the condition of the car in detail. I know its faultless but it can only be good to have more pics which should encourage a bite.

Personally I thought the RMS poke-the-hornets-nest-with-a-stick was funny but there are a few sensitive boys on here...

Good luck with it Jase.

Looks lovely - and I never thought I'd find myself saying that about a yellow car!

Shame it's way out of my price bracket but such is life.....

It does look lovely, but why did someone spend 80k on it when the turbo was only 10k more and an RS was 6k less?
