Wing Mirrors (again)
Discussion
I know this question has been asked a number of time but I am struggling to find a thread which fits my requirements.
I have an S3 but it has the older style S1/2 mirrors and as I am sure you are all aware they are flipping useless. What is the best type of mirror to replace them with bearing in mind that they are not electric?
Also is it an easy job? As I intend to do it myself over the winter.
Many thanks
Peter

s that on a V8s ie the later style? If so lift the black plastic surround and drill a small hole through the mirror collar. secure it with a small self tapping screw. Job done!
Hi
I've also got the early type mirrors and I also hate them. I seem to spend alot of time re-adjusting the bl**dy things every time I get in the car!
I am looking to replace them with the mirrors off a Daihatsu Copen and have managed to get hold of a set off Ebay. The main reasons for using this particular model are:
1)They should cover the holes left when removing the old mirrors.
2)The curve on the top of the door seems to be similar.
I must stress I haven't yet fitted them so my assumptions may be complete and utter b****cks! I think I'll probably leave it 'til the summer's over before attempting the swap.
You may ask why such an obscure model of car? I've had quite a bit of time to look and cogitate the issue as the better half drives one!
Cheers
