Tyre help again plz look

I have a 2002 m12 gto and im stuck for tyres as the so3 is no longer plz can anyone advice on what tyre choices i have etc im going mad searching and looking tho other posts.Can someone explain simply to a simple person lmao.

Forever the cynic I think maybe the factory only wear a Pirelli coloured hat these days.

The Bridgestone RE050 is the natural replacement for the S03. I have them fitted and can confirm that they don't feel much different at all (although tyre feel is always a subjective thing) As fitted to the Enzo and other exoctica if you need any pub points

I would say not, no good in the wet, in fact, dangerous.

I am running 048's at the moment.

Much more grip in the dry than the old so3's. Not been on track yet but I think it will be hitting the bump stops which is not so clever.

And, as Ash said, I pray it doesn't rain every time i go out!

Well ive done it new set of p zero rossos sorted thx for all the help.Would any one be interested in 2 front so3's perfect cond loadsa tread also one rear same condition?

I've got Dunlops on mine at the moment. For the first 100 miles or more it was a death trap. Fine after that.

They'll take 100-200 miles to get rid of the release compound.

Best way is to 'go around the M25 once' or similar.

In the US, the replacement for the Potenza S-03 Pole Position is the Potenza RE-050A Pole Position. The RE-050A and RE-050 are slotted below it, and people have reported a reasonably sizable difference in performance between the tires.

Factory recommended P zero rosso`s, is this best choice for road use? bit concerned about handling in the wet, light car lots of power etc.
Please advise, before I get them fitted

PZR's have excellent water dispertion and therefore should be just as good in the wet. However, I should point out that I can happily drive 'around' Scoobies and Evo's on wet trackdays with new Corsa Motorsports on the M400 (but only if they have >5mm of tread!!) so they should be very good road wise.

They're not the recommended tyre for a 3R though. Not with standard suspension anyway.
