Title says it really

Anyone here going? Am taking Cayman along to see what it can do and will probably dribble over a few GT3's etc so felt prior warning to owners was a sound idea

I'll look forward to seeing yer lovely CaymanS putting in a few quick laps...mine's the Guard's Red BoxS.

Nice thing about Bedford is that if the sun shines its ace and its still pretty good in the wet! Last year we had both and a lot of slidy fun was had!

Cheers Don, will be trying to push on a bit once my track day confidence is back. I have decided to register as a novice for this day as I've not been on a track for a little while and have not been on a PCGB day before. Guess I'm just being careful with circuit, users etc and will get back into the swing of things over the whole day. Would be glad of some siting laps if you have driven the track before as I have found that following someone round who knows a track is the fastest way for me to learn the lines etc.

Hi Yex.

Bedford isn't a circuit I'm all that familiar with - although I reckon I remember the way round. You would be very welcome to sit in with me early in the day to help learn your way around - although don't take my lines as "gospel" - just getting the lefts and rights sorted with that many corners is useful! A friend of mine did the same for me last year and it was really, really helpful..more helpful than the instruction available, I thought...so introduce yourself early on and we'll go for a spin. :groan:

I think they're going for a "sessioned" first hour and then open pit lane so it should be a relaxed day with cars going out anytime they want...

Cheers for the offer Don, will introduce myself on the day. I'm off to somewhere near Marseilles tomorrow for a week so will arrive relaxed and tanned....hopefully

I like the idea of a staggered first hour as it should allow some of the red mist to dissappear and the day to settle down into the well run offering I am told the PCGB provide. I'll be happy to take you round when I'm confident enough, be nice to see how both cars compare given the strong linkage in their blood line.

Looking forward to it already,

Yex

Nice to see you on the day, sir. Fun wasn't it! Your Cayman - what a machine. The sound was utterly intoxicating...many thanks for the passenger laps...

Don, pleasure to meet as well. I'm glad I attended as that was the first time I have had the chance to hear the acoustics of the car at "full chat" for a long period of time. I was amazed by the handling of the car both in the way it turned in under power and how it felt so balanced under braking.

I can only apologise for the lack of driver finesse after being out with you. I was truly impressed with the smoothness of your driving and the fact you could make vary fast progress by knowing the correct way to position your car on the track. I guess I'll just have to come along to a few more track days to see if I can improve my peddling

If you let me know if you have any more days planned this year I'll see if I can make it along to any of them as the bug has now bitten hard
