Interior Mirror problem

The old interior mirror on the SEAC took a bash at the weekend ..

Any idea's on what will stick it back on ?

I have some Silkaflex 221 - would that do the trick ?

Had a similar problem and found a rear view mirror fixing kit in my local motor factor. Sorry I can't remember the name but it was based on something similar to superglue but more tacky, and some stuff to clean the glass I think.

Has lasted for 2-3 years so definitely works.

Halfords sell mirror fixing pads...would that do?

I tried the Halford sticky pads but they weren't too great. Maybe I didn't follow the instructions properly.

I recently stuck the interior mirror back on the S, using a loctite kit - it's a two-pack adhesive and hardener with a thin gauze "filler" and that worked a treat - feels like the screen would break before the mirror comes off.

Fixing pads usually work well but good prep is key.

tvr-git - that's the one I used. Forgot about the gauze bit. Anyway, it worked really well.

I recently replaced a screen with a mirror "secured" by the loctite kit on it. I thought, I'll knock the mirror off no prob, when it finally came off it took a piece of inside glass(laminate screen) with it.
