Isn't "Street racing" illegal , if so, I wouldn't recommend posting about it on a public forum with many Police officers as members.

All IMO of course, just don't want to spoil your fun.

i know what you are saying, but ukstreetracers is a club plus a web site, streetracers means street legal race cars that are raced on tracks like santa pod and avon pk.i hope the boys in blue dont get the wrong end of the stick.cheers any way

i know dynos are hard to find in uk that can handle any kinda power i suppose they are only used to normal power not the kind of numbers you are talking about, i know the ccse custom car steet elim cars are dynoed but on an engine dyno as some of those are pushing out well over 1000bhp, 0 t0 170 mph in 8.4secs .but i thought about this and it seems a lot of hassle to remove it all with loom ect.we dynoed a car at place that do a lot of big power cars he said his dyno would take 1000bhp but i doubt you would hold that down on a 2wd dyno.

we had a good night ,the local boys in blue saw us parked up before we went to the pub,no lazers though.our name like i said is a little missleading to the powers that be but me and a lot of my friends drag race on tracks in proper msa approved events and we measure our cars peformance by a quarter of a mile time and speed because that is a true reflection of a cars accelaration not 170 on the m25.

Good stuff, it's good to see people taking their vehicles to the limits in a controlled environment and not on the public highways like the bolt-on-boys frequently do with their cruises

Sorry for getting the wrong end of the stick, may pop over to a meet sometime for a poke about if you do them around Surrey often

(ukstreetracers + meet in leatherhead = Pratts in maxxed cars & )

Keep it up though, IMO we need to get the message across to the masses that taking your car to a strip to race your mate is better than doing it on the roads, and at least you get figures to prove you beat your mate, how fast your reactions are and how good your car really is. Great website too, some of those cars are just brilliant

venom500, have you tried Abbey Motorsports in Oxted? I know they are a Jap car (mainly Skyline) tuner but they have a dyno that you might be able to get on. Its called a Dynopack and its bolted to the hubs, apparently its a very good piece of kit.

Excuse my ignorance...

Are these like the street eliminator cars. My boss is a hot rod nut and we were talking yesterday about some max power kids who's challanged some street eliminator cars to a race at Elvington...
