hello all,
i've got a 1995 993 with troublesome air con, in this heat typically enough. does anyone know if a 993 is using r134a or r12 gas?
does anyone know where to get parts at sensible money when needed, including potential a/c parts?
it's about 18 months since a new condenser was fitted, and the system regassed, is this a bad sign?
any and all help will be greatly accepted.
thanks.

yes the gas is R134a. I bought a condenser last week from www.airconmedic.co.uk/ I did a recent post showing a link to an ebay listing for aircon parts but they have been removed from ebay for some reason, anyway, the link above is for the same company.
good luck.
good luck.
I've just had my 993 re-gassed after eighteen months and all appears to be well. I did find the inlet valves had a slight leak so I replaced these. Incidentally mine also had a new condensor fitted 18months ago.
I don't think having to re-gass every 18months is a sign of trouble. However, my BMW didn't need it for over four years.
