Not such a warm welcome - I went to the motor show on Friday with a view to purchase a new Sagaris. I must say, I was very impressed with the car, the build quality looks excellent, should be for 63k tho. It also has a conventional opening bonnet which is handy for showing the boys the engine and generally checking if all is ok.
Anyhow, we saw Nikolai behind a glass screen on the stand, we asked him politely to come over, he looked at my old dad and I as though we were both mad, he then asked us why we wanted him to come over, we politely replied “we just want to meet you”, he pointed to another TVR representative on the stand and told us to talk to him instead. We told Nikolai that we were interested in purchasing another TVR, he replied “Buy what you like”, I was ranging with his attitude but more so I was truly disappointed – All credit to the fella for what he has done for TVR however, I think he should brush up on his customer relations skills.

I hope so, the old boy and I were in such high spirits regarding the new Saggy and boom we were totally deflated. I won’t hold it against Nikolai, he is a young man under extreme pressure. I will still purchase the Saggy however, after that meeting I wasn’t in the right frame of mind to hand over my 63000 sheets.
We visited the TVR stand last Wednesday ,NS was there,showed me around the F3000 car which was roped off at back of display, chatted to a couple of guys with us (ex factory ,quite senior) and generally seemed to be milling about amiably.
A few people "upstairs" on the stand were suited up and looking important but NS was sporting jeans/TVR T-shirt and standing with the cars.
I myself , was wearing "Sports Casual's".... a'la Partridge

Nik is ok, he is very, very wary of people and you have to be very diplomatic when you talk to him, he is known for just walking out if he doesnt like the way the conversation is going.
Its partly the different cultures and partly he can do what he likes.
Just dont take offence if he sent you to someone else, they will know more about the car/spec/pricing than Nik.
I am down there this weekend, with Nigel Gordon-Stewart and NS (if he is still around).
