Paul,
Great view of the Ultima blatantly cheating at the start of the midengined race!
That Golf has got some grunt! Can't believe the way he's pulling away down the straights!
I was thinking of doing some in car video myself for Pembrey. Are you using a 'bog standard' camcorder there or a proper in car kit? Any advice on the best way to go about it without spending a fortune?

No idea but i think its on slicks as well, it certainly is fast and thats part of the fun, they (especialy the Astons) pull out on the straights and the fun and excitement is getting back at them on the bendy bits.

Vid 2 - was that an exige at the end that came past ?
Yes, Steve came flying past. I don't know whether he found some speed from somewhere but we found that my IC fan was not working so this might be video evidence of the dreaded M12 heat soak. I did get the impression that I was pretty much keeping up until midway through teh race when the lead pack just disappeared.

OK, the clam cam is this;
www.dogcamsport.co.uk/12vcam.htm
its a cheapy so quality not brilliant but I wanted to see what the view was like. Thats connected to a standard Sony handycam but the handycam must be able to accept analogue video input to be able to record from the camera.
The mount I use is the SC2, scroll down here;
www.b-hague.co.uk/Mounting%20Brackets.htm
I've modified mine to get rid of the handles, I use M6 studding connectors, these are like very long nuts, they are smaller than the supplied handles so it can be packed into tighter spaces and can be tightened with a spanner for absolute fixing.
the "cabin" videos are shot with a screw on wide angle lens adapter on a second standard handycam mounted as shown in this and the 5 following shots;

Same thing happened to Mike Gardiners mega spec M400 aswell.
By the end of the race I had the legs on it and basically drove past him down the back straight! There is definately a significant heat soak issue with Nobles.
Also My M400 was really suffering on the test day before the race - felt gutless to be honest!

Paul,
Is the original rollcage acceptable or does one need to modify it?

Richard -you got your car back yet?
Not yet - went to see how it was progressing last week; it's going to be finished mid to end of August which is probably just as well as I've been rather busy at work!
Oh and trackdays would be roasting hot at the moment [I only said that to convince myself that I wasn't missing anything ... so that didn't work].
