LOL...I am test driving one at the weekend.
Nathan was kind enough to take me out one day at Bedford in the wet...was very impressed.
He was very pleased with it as a comprimise.
Trying to find one with the AP's.

My local dealer are hoping to get one in for me. Should know on Monday and hopefully test drive a week on Saturday. It doesn't have AP's on but good nick and low mileage. CSL doesn't seem to have any competition really?

Ahh, but since then you got the new eshaust and I thought your love had been renewed for a year or so.
Still, I have just had an offer accepted on yet another property and this is one that I can bearly afford to buy, let alone spend £50k rennovating! So its best not to have been asked again.

Washy sold his car so quickly after he decided to sell it's amazing. I thought I'd done well to find a buyer so quickly, but he's equalled me in the time stakes and took on less risk. To be fair his car was in fabulous condition so I shouldn't be surprised!
Just need to convince him the GT3 is the way, none of this BMW rep-mobile rubbish

Yep, looks like I got very lucky indeed.
Re GT3 - never say never but I can't see how I can justify at least 50% more for the Porsche badge. I don't think it's 50% more car. Besides I'd want the RS if I was going to go Porsche so that's 75% more. Good as the RS is I don't think it's 75% better than a CSL.
The real kicker with the CSL is four seats. I can never take the Noble out on a night with the lads because there's no room to get them in and make trips to the kebab house and such. Also, the Noble attracts a lot of attention whilst you're deliberating over chilli sauce. The CSL should blend in to the crowd a bit better and after nearly 10 years of being stared at I'm looking forward to blending in.
The only worry with the CSL is what I'll make of SMG. I do like to execute a good gear shift. CSL will deprive me of that basic driving privilege...
You can still heel and toe to help out the computer, though the latest software is supposed to blip harder so negating the need further. SMG takes a couple of weeks to really get your head around, you can massively alter the changes with your actions as shift speed and brutality is related to throttle opening, deceleration as well as the mode you have selected so it doesn't take all the choice away. Will find out when my car is ready and let you know, you can have a drive when I collect it.
My clutch has been sorted with just software so it seems BMW may have finally got it right, apparently rose jointing those bushes have made it feel awesomely planted, if a wee bit harsh. MOT today I think.
An RS is at least 75% more eye candy and certainly on my ultimate car list, there is something very, very cool about driving a homologation special of an already brilliant car but agree with you about having a car that blends in and you can park anywhere without worrying about it (though some git did scrape my car while it was parked and reveal the carbon on the rear bumper, obviously didn't notice or I'm sure they'd have left a note

I do know exactly where you are coming from but I tried living with a balls out car as my only one, the answer for me is to have 2 cars but then how many times have you been out in the Renault and the chance for a hoon has presented itself and you've thought, "God, I wish I was in the Noble", or had to take multiple passengers down one of your favourite roads and cursed them, so for me the 2 car thing would only work if I had 2 cars I enjoyed caning the arse off. If I could afford it then I'd be there, trust me! E60 M5 + an RS would keep me happy for a while i'd have thought
