Saw my first 997 Turbo in the metal last night.

Metallic Black heading into Leeds under the dark arches shortly after 5pm. Wasn't on trade plates and I doubt the OPC would be test driving into central Leeds at the very zenith of the rush hour, so presumably someone's got their delivery.

Anyone on here?

Not me (pity!) but a black one was behind me last week going through Chobham in Surrey, looked very nice. Seen a few now, one was coming into one of the car parks at the goodwood festival of speed at the weekend & I often see one round Guildford - thats the Guildford OPC's demo car.

Ditto- a Silver one leaving Guildford on the Portsmouth road. Very nice too. At first thought- nice Aerokit on that C4S, then noticed the intakes above the rear arches...

May take a wander down to the dealership in a second for a look.

Yeah, it was pretty nice. Although when I first saw it I did think "Wow, that's a shiny clean 996 Turbo, wish more people would keep them like that". Not sure if that's good or bad.

Have just been down to AFN in Guildford- they've got a black 997 Turbo which looks superb. Didn't realise it has 305 section rear tyres! Steamroller specials...

Suppose even their demonstrators are spoken for?!...probably did a deal with someone yonks ago I would imagine?

Still want a 996 Turbo, Seal Grey/Black leather next year though

Sorry the new 997TT just does not float my boat, to fussy, it has tried to move the game on over the 996TT & all it has achieved is round headlights, funny LED gaping mouth pieces, larger side air intakes with (shock horror) the addition of middle slashes, a lower rear bumper with the awkward holes for the exhaust and BLING alloys!
The 996TT did function over form very well, the 997TT is less form & more function.Ok it is a fabulous technical tour de force, but on the exterior design front it is "frankly" piss poor!
Porsche missed an opportunity to make it look like a supercar as well as go like a supercar!

Have to agree here. Saw the new turbo the other day and thought; thats nice. 10 minutes later saw (and heard!) a 7 year old 360 in black and thought WOW!
The new turbo, whilst nice, really doesn't have the looks to match it's supercar performance or supercar price.
