Hi! I am new to this forum, and I am considering buying a 996 GT2 from Romans international. Its 2004 53' which is the 485hp model, but The car is supposed to have in exsess of 640hp, I beleve it was tunned at DMS. Is DMS's work good and has any one else used them before for GT2 tunning? also dose any one no of this car? and can give me some back ground on the car and if its had any paint work or is it an origanal panel car? As I am aware that GT2's are prone to being badly damaged.

There are a few people on this forum with DMS modified turbos, some of whom run at the VMAX events. I'm not aware of DMS tuning cars to 640bhp though.

Says it's a Porsche Approved upgrade I'd check just what the upgrade entails (and kiss goodbye to your OPC Warranty)

Nice car, but not exactly the cheapest out there is it ?

700bhp would require some serious engine work and there is no way the upgrade is Porsche approved. Frankly if it really makes that power, I'd have real concerns about driveability.

I think this car was up for sale in the Pistonheads classifieds some time ago, obviously didn't get any takers.

I've never heard of a power upgrade from Porsche for the GT2 that is factory approved, only one I am aware of is the pack for the Turbo.

Be great fun in a straight line though

Wasn't this the car that was in EVO a while back. It was the updated 996 GT2, which is supposed to be much better to drive than the original 996 GT2.
DMS are supposed to be good too, so the tuning shouldn't be too bad.
