Just a quickie.
Replaced my rad fan switch today. Turns out the factory supplied one was 98/93. Given that you get some heat loss between the engine and the rad (conduction via the long ally pipes etc.), no wonder the fans weren't coming on 'til close to 100 degs.
Replacement is a 92/87.
In traffic, with fans running, temps didn't get past 91
I went out for a 10 minute test drive, came back an hour later. It's a different car being able to just drive it without dial watching!
Treated the old (new) girl to a double polish and wax session and she's absolutely gleaming. Auto Glym polish and gloss, with a 100% carnauba Harly wax topcoat (belt and braces I suppose but a hell of a lot of buffing!). I was amazed at the difference. The mirror finish almost looks wet it's so good.

To clarify, I use a Stack which (I think I'm safe in saying) is a bit more accurate than the factory analogue guages.
Steve - Intermotor part no. 50200. Originally from an Alfa Romeo IIRC. 22m thread with 2 spade connectors, so it's a straight swap (with wet feet

Bought and fitted the 50200 switch today.
The one I took out is marked 110. Ouch!!
Don't think i'll even leave that in my 'come in handy' box.

Blimey! Sounds as if you'll be seeing the fans on more often then
Went for a nice run today in mine. No problem with cooling, however, am now having trouble with idle speed (stuck at 1200rpm). The butterflies seem to be sticking open. Even if I back the idle screw right off so that it's not even touching the mechanism, they won't fully close?
Also, I noticed on these butterflies that they have a bleed hole drilled in them - don't remember that on the GTR. Is it common?
