I blame Roush for taking so long.

Driving from Stone to Leeds, got a call, can I go and fix something.

No problem says I, just pulled onto the M621 and felt the car start to strangle, oh, something not right. then all seemed ok. Get to the 50mph zone, police car in front so pull in behind, as I do, all power is gone. Gear down and put foot to floor, nothing. I am now really worried, have a client with a network down so I flash the police car, beep horn. I am on a part of the motorway with no hard shoulder and slowing down. Plice ignore my cries for help, eventually manage to coast to a hard shoulder which is about 200 feet long.

Get out of the car to find liquid pooring out of the engine bay, lift bonnet, check cam belt, it is unhealthily loose.

Turns out that the water pump has gone, taken the cambelt with it and probably the valves, pistons etc.

Cost to fix all including a few other things, 1k.

No, not the Noble, phew, it is my Vectra.

So why blame Roush?

Cause, I did not have the Noble for a long time as it was being tweaked and a Vectra can only take so much punishment.

Only joking Trev

Well thank god for that! Now you can get a decent work car, rep boy!

Surely the car is worth less that the repair cost?

Can we deflect some of that blame onto the factory as the car had to go back there as well? It can't be all my fault, surely?

Oi, you found the fault. If it had not been for you I would have been driving my Vectra at normal speeds, taking it easy. But NO. You had to find fault with the M400, send it back to the factory, deliver it back to me with a double grin factor (bill for plastic surgery on the way). In the mean time, what could I do?

One right foot and one Vectra!

No, Roush are to blame entirely.

The fact that I am now forced to drive a Noble till Vectra fixed is no defence, in fact, I think the plastic surgery bill will now double!

Trevor, you are a star.

Thanks for my performance

You git! You had me going there for a minute.

Vectras deserve to die anyway, so some good came out of it. At least you know you can sell it to a gipsy as shelter for the chickens...
