Targa roof section adhesive

Hi all,

Hopefully going to be re-covering the targa roof section of my Griffith this weekend but am unsure of the type of adhesive to use. Would it be ok to use a high temp resistant contact or is there something else that should be used??

I've done a search on this and it was touched upon but not clearly answered that I could see. If there is a thread or if anyone knows could you let me know.

Have you got new material or re sticking teh old one?

Have printed off those instructions. I thought I'd read on another thread that the Dunlop adhesive was no longer available? I can't find it on google either....

I've bought new material. The mohair has worn away on the back edge on the passenger side, a problem cause by rubbing in the boot as it wasn't in it's protective cover (slap on wrists!!).

Will take plenty of pictures as I go to make sure it comes off and goes back on the same way.

Re-covering roof went well.. Took 3 days but I think it could have been done in two without interruptions. Hope to produce a 'how to'.doc eventually in addition to the one suggested by Simon which was V useful. I eventually called a local TVR dealership who gave me the number of the upholsterer that they use, who in turn told me that they stick roof material with the trade equivalent of non-drip contact adhesive (Evo-Stik Time Bond).

Just need to match the colour of the folding section with the new targa top and then the next project is the cracked and lifting woodwork on the dash?!?!?
