Well done Paul

How is it you can find these things when I go looking I can never get them?
Anyway a great race, in fact if I'd not spun I'd have been 3rd, see my fastest lap was a 1.07 whereas the thirdplaceman's was a 1.08. I qualified 13th in a field of 30 odd so I was well pleased to have risen to 4th. Some was due to actually overtaking something - a first for me, and the rest due to attrition in the cars ahead.
Mind you it does mean I was beaten by a Golf GTI !!!
I got some great video from a mini cam on the front tow hook and a second camera in the cabin.
In the MESC race I qualified 8th and finished 7th. I was up with the fast boys and the racing M400 for the first few lasp but then my car got heat soaked and they just drove away from me. Even so I was still much more "in" the leading pack than "behind" it.
After that, and before the endurance race, Matt discovered that the fan on his IC was not connected up. SO we set it to run continuously and look what happened in the second race.
Lessons learned, when racing in 30'c ambient you need one if not two fans on your IC.
Yet again it was an absolute blast and so so so much more enjoyable than a track day. Come on who's going to join me.

Nice one Paul!
Glad you got that pesky Blue one! I thought the Noble was fast but some of those motors were seriously quick!

Justin you're getting 4 videos; a pair for each race, a "clam cam" and a "cabin cam". The Endurance race has my spin which lost me 3rd place and the racing is pretty close at times and there's some nice flames from the back end of an Aston for Ash. The MESC race has a point about 5 minutes in when Im overtaken by the red motorsports Exige and he drives of with the rest of the pack - graphic evidence of the impact of heat soak in the M12.

great video paul (y)
what was the white and then the red car in front ?
what does the golf GTI have done to it - it must be pretty seriously modified ?
are you allowed and mods to your Noble ?

The white one is a Shelsey, 700kg Audi 1800 turbo powered. Ugly but as fast as some of the fastest things. The red one is a supercharged honda powered motorsports Exige (maybe an Elise?) on its first ever run in anger. The SHelsey cracked its front upper chassis where the suspension mounts during qualifying. So they got a bit of plate steel and welded it up over lunch! The Lotus I could keep at bay until my back end got too hot and all my power withered away. The driver was Steve Taylor who drove my car to 3rd on the grid at the Snetterton meeting. He's going to be tough competition at the next meetings.

.... it ran continously on the trip back down from Northampton, meaning it really needed another fan to get the air charge under 40.
Exactly the same conclusion our extensive tests came to. New 60mm core and twin 10 inch fans running supercool in my car.

Graham, What that silver flask with the small filter?

"Graham, What that silver flask with the small filter?"
its a catch tank or oil breather
boosted engines breath lots of oil mist from the crank case
it 'catches' the oil mist and drains it back into the sump
most oem engines beathe the oil mist into the inlet manifold and consume it that way

That was actually Martin's CD - I should have spotted the Spanish stamp!
