Attempted theft.....

Thank goodness for a vigilant neighbour. The bizz's were called at 3-00am this morning as two lowlife pr!cks tried to steal my K-Plate Mini!

They disturbed the theives due to judiscious usage of blues and two's as they came sceaming down the road. This bunch police obvioulsy missed stealth training...

Had the joy of driving into work with a screwdriver instead of an ignition key, but must look on the positive side, at least I still have the car!

Does anybody have a good (late) steering lock and key set?

Think I may have one off an 81 HL somewhere, god knows where the key is I hope i left it in the barrel, its an entire steering column if its of use to you so easier to fit than just the lock barrel

I can probably strip out either just the lock barrel or the whole column this weekend from my parts car. Definitely have the key... somewhere

No email link on your profile but in either case just stick a fiver in your favourite charity box. I'll be over at the workshop this weekend so I'll remove what I can. Might have to be just the lock as I do still need to be able to move the shell around.

OK, I've got the whole column as the lock mechanism won't come off without mucking around with the "security" bolts. Let me know if you want it.
