New Indicators!

Hi All

After a visit to the factory last week I asked Andy about the new indicators I had heard about. They are the same as the ones I had already thought about fitting. Andy says they will be offering them once they have worked out brackets for them.

The units are Hella 60mm units. I bought mine with the diadem bulbs which look silver/blue in till powered then they are orange. I bought mine from Demon Tweeks. This link to my website shows one temporarily in postion. Scroll down to near the bottom of the page.www.v8yes.co.uk/14.html

I spoke to Andy at Stoneleigh about these, they had them on the silver demo car. He suggested that the Factory would be doing a kit at some point. There is no reason why the can not be retro-fitted but they do look a lot more expensive!

Hi All

Yes they can be easily retro-fitted and that's what I'm doing. They fit staight into the standard hole no mods necessary. I've just made some simple alluminium brackets to hold them in place. From demon tweeks they cost £19.25 each with the standard orange bulb or 29.49 each with the diadem bulb. Both prices include vat.

I notice you have the newer head lamps with the modified main lights, I still have the old style on mine - aka the scary as F$$$ on dip types, is the indicator lamp the same as the old ones - aka pre dip lighting fix ???

Dave - can you confirm the product code? I think it's 001-201 for the diadem version which is listed at £28.36 in.c VAT?

You have the correct part number 001-201 but the price in the catalogue is £29.49 as is it on the web. Check it from this link.

I'm not sure about the earlier lights but if the hole is at least 60mm then they will fit without any trouble.

Does this light have two elements? One for a marker lamp (low intensity) and one for signalling a turn (high intensity. This is a requirement in the USA.

Your marker light (our side or parking light) is already in one of the headlights. Do you have to have more than one per side?

Your right, the "city" lamp in the dip beam may be used as an amber marker. I used a completely different front marker than supplied by the factory. This meant that I didn't have to trim the opening to fit the lamp and that I could fit a dual element bulb. If anyone wants photos I've got some.
