Would one still push for a independant inspection on a 911 for sale by a trader ???

This is the said 911 www.pistonheads.com/sales/78500.htm

Yes - gives added peace of mind. At the end of the day, a dealer has to sell cars to put food on the table - he'd do anything to get that sale, so it's best to get the car checked over properly.

Looks like a very tidy car from the pictures. Hope the report says it's as healthy as it looks.

"PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A TRADE SALE WITHOUT WARRANTY" says it all, get it inspected!

Also, it may have had a respray to Celebration Blue, worth checking as the proper Celebration models have embossed headrests which this doesn't look to have and it should also have a plaque with the limited Edition Celebration No on in the centre of the rear shelf.

It does look a very tidy car for the money though.

This advert has been changed somewhat

Reference to its 170k plus mileage has been removed - as long as the bodywork is in good order, then not a bad price

Yes, better lose a few hundred pounds than buy a dog of a car. I have had six PPI done on so called good 930 turbo's all came back very poor.

My search still goes on for a good 911/930 turbo 87-89. So much junk out there, and still people are asking silly prices all because of the badge on the front of the car.

Good luck

Hi, this car was for sale in autotrader about two months ago.It was up for £10,750 and i believe its from the glossip area(Near Manchester).I was selling my 911 at the time and this was my competion! If its still in Glossip ask them to take it to Lodge sports in Gorton, its about 20 mins away going towards manchester and they will inspect it.They are honest enough and very reasonable.Always get an inspection as even simple stuff with this model can cost hundreds, ask anyone who has owned on.Good luck.
