Nostradamus'' prediction on WW3:
"In the year of the new century and nine months,
From the sky will come a great King of Terror...
The sky will burn at forty-five degrees.
Fire approaches the great new city..."
"In the city of york there will be a great collapse,
2 twin brothers torn apart by chaos
while the fortress falls the great leader will succumb
third big war will begin when the big city is burning"

He said this will be bigger than the previous two.
2001 is the first year of the new century and this is the 9th month.
New York is located at the 41st degree Latitude.
This is mis quoted. It is actually 1999 and 7 months.
The actual translation from the french of one of the key parts is
'The year 1999, seventh month, From the sky will come a great King of Terror: To bring back to life the great King of the Mongols, Before and after Mars to reign by good luck'
I think this may have been the inspiration for the attack tho'

Interesting stuff, but as Sparks seems to be suggesting, it could just be a self-fulfilling prophecy, ie people (if you can call them that) read a prediction and act in such a way that it becomes true, when it wouldn't have done had the prediction not been made. err...
I've now had the bloody thing about a dozen times by e-mail its different every time but these are the facts

WORLDWIDE NOSTRADAMUS EMAIL IS CRUEL HOAX

A WORLDWIDE email claiming that Nostradamus forecast the attack on the World Trade Centre was today denounced by experts as a cruel hoax.
Thousands of people have received emails containing the prophecy, often with a second part forecasting that the attack on the twin towers will mark the beginning of World War III.
But experts say the mail has taken several different lines from the so-called prophet's work and re-packaged them as a coherent prediction.
And many of the lines are simply made up.
A spokesman for specialist website www.nostradamus-repository.org said: "It is hard to understand why some people are using such a tragic event to spread more fear using the name of Nostradamus but unfortunately that is the case."
Despite the questionable motives the email has touched off a wave of interest in the 16th century French astrologer.
And curiosity about the supposed prophecy has propelled Nostradamus books to the top of the best-seller lists at the UK and US sites of Web bookseller Amazon.
At Web bookseller Amazon's British site, Amazon.co.uk, the best-seller's list included books about Nostradamus in two of the top five positions. (Amazon.co.uk Hot 100 Books)
Nostradamus books sold even faster at the U.S. site for Amazon, with the number-one best-seller being the 976-page paperback "Nostradamus : The Complete Prophecies".
Nostradamus books also held down the positions three, five, nine, and ten on the Amazon.com best-seller list.
Several versions of the hoax have been circulated by email, including:
"In the year of the new century and nine months
From the sky will come a great King of Terror
The sky will burn at forty-five degrees
Fire approaches the new city".
In many e-mails, the verse comes with a second part:
"In the city of York there will be a great collapse
Two twin brothers torn apart by chaos
While the fortress falls the great leader will succumb
Third big war will begin when the big city is burning".
The spokesman for www.nostradamus-repository.org added: " Nostradamus died in 1566 so anything with "Nostradamus 1654" should give you a clue.
"It is NOT by Nostradamus. This is a Hoax. "
