new TVR site in Lancaster

Just outside the city, south down the A6, there's a disused water treatment works, quite an impressive early 20th century building which was renovated a couple of years ago. It has potential as office space or as a car showroom, but as it's remained vacant for lhe last few years. I have been informed by the locals that this is the site TVR is planning to use for the development, museum and main offices. NS has been roumered to have purchaced this building for around £2M.

oooh I know which one you mean - very nice building. I always thought it would look great with some sportscars inside!

There was a sportscar sales company based there for a short while. Had loads of fancy stuff in like Porsches and Fezzas. Lasted less than 12 months IIRC...

It's between the main University junction and the start of the 30 limit. For years that has been mooted as a car dealership, but it looks a little small for a decent TVR museum.

Nice obvious placement though. I'll certainly drop in when visiting my mum

The museum will need to be large enough to house cars on loan from owners - ones waiting for clutches and other parts maybe.

I thought exactly the same some months ago when I drove past it! A very impressive building, not sure how big it is inside? Depends on how big the museum will be... I look forward to seeing when it is finished as it is only 15 miles from my Father's house.

Excellent! That's just round the corner from my brothers house. Doesn't look like a big enough building to me though!
