Max-Power Tuscan in Hot Wheels

Anyone else spot the max-power black Tuscan on the cover of Hot Wheels magazine.
Think it's the one that belongs to Moleskins. The feature inside claims it cost over
£200k to build Top speed claimed at 212 mph

Looks more like a 'comic' than a serious car magazine so if it impresses a few young boys
who are the TVR owners of the future - so be it. Let them dream on....

seen it at tvr power, persoally I think it looks awful. made of carbon fibre, got a big fin on the back. Assuming they got a tweaked engine dont see why somebody with a death whish could not try for 212

i was talking to a bloke from newlun performance the other day,he was buying a tuscan s write off from my local salvage spot,are they the same chaps that were talking on the clip? can't remember where he said they were from but they deal in tvr lotus and ferrari.

It would pull likely 10mph less than std with all that junk on it. NOS is a waste of time as well - just a toy.

NOS isn't a toy but on the Tuscan in question it is. Its never been plumbed in. He only has the bottles fitted if you look closely at any of the piccies of it you will see there is no pipes coming off the bottles.

I can never understand why people would put NOS bottles in and not plumb them in.
On the other side of the coin i see Nitrous regularly put to good use up at SantaPod.

Its not even proper-autclav-prepreg stuff, its wet-lay-up as I understand it, much heavier than the real F1 deal.... and someone else even said it was stuck on effectively, the existing underneath is still there.... who knows?

The bottles not hooked up is a well known way of cars showing off their work and making it look that much extra 'wow' by using the good old NOS as a badge and t-shirt.... stupid, fast'n'furious...

But... still, doing things out the norm isnt a bad thing, even though this ride does look like a Tuscan morganised....

The bonnet is proper carbon fibre and not carbon fibre stuck onto original bodywork, although whether it is "proper-autclav-prepreg stuff" or "wet-lay-up" I have no idea as I no nothing about carbon fibre.

When I was at TVR Power the other day the main bonnet was off and I lifted it up. The carbon fibre bonnet is a lot lighter than a normal Tuscan bonnet.

So if the whole car is proper carbon fibre then it will be significantly lighter than a standard Tuscan, even with the extra skirts and spoilers.

The rear spoiler on the boot is rippling in the middle and looks rubbish.
