First timer what to buy?

Hi I could do with your help. I've allways loved TVR's but been put off by reliability and build problems, but having recently flogged my Elise I need another fix.
I could have £20k to spend on something for using only on dry weekends. But it must be reliable and not cost the earth to maintain, not fussed about soft top or coupe.
Any suggestions, what about the T350c?

Or a lovely Tuscan with a rebuilt engine to latest factory spec??

I'd get a Griff 500 if you've only got £20k..I reckon you'd get a really nice one... If you've got £50k get a Tuscan 2 S convertible...they go like the sht...

I went for a Chim 500 back in Feb (18.4) and haven't regretted it since. I started out looking for a Griff but frankly you've got to really love the shape to spend the extra. The more I looked the more I realised that I was always going to struggle with the concept of spending at least £3k more car for car that is exactly the same underneath. Having driven one I was even more convinced as it (the griff) bounced and bumped over potholes. I thought that having bought the chim I might get a tad jealous every time I saw a Griff but now I think I even prefer the shape(and I certainly enjoy the extra space).
As for new speed 6's there was a Tuscan for sale at the same price as the Chim in the same garage (Fernhurst). It didn't take much to convince me it was a bad idea, circa £3k annual costs (this applies to Cerbie too) with the impending threat of an engine rebuild at all times- no thanks. For £20k you'll struggle to get into a 350 too.
Buy the best Chim you can and you won't regret it.

Try both and make your own mind up.

If you've got £20k to spend definitely buy a Chim or a Griff. My money would be on a Griff cos at that money the residuals are likely to be better than a Chim and you'll get more or less the best there is of either.
