By all accounts there is shortly going to be available a interface for connecting your iPOD to the MOST-Bus equipped 911's.

I am longing to be able to have access to my tunes via my iPOD in my car.

I was under the impression that Denison was going to release something this month...?

Anyone know where I can get one of these babies?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks - But they do not list the Porsche Vehicles with the MOST or Fibre Optic Bus.

Bummer!

I had an e-mail back from Nat-Tv

'Our iPOD interface for Porsche will be available in 5 weeks, it will allow full control from the PCM unit.

The Unit price is not yet available; we will contact you as soon as this unit is launched with full details.'

I will post back here when the unit is available

GATEWAY 500

Following up on the dates etc.. (If you have a post 2003 Porsche with the fibre connectivity)

www.dension.com/icelinkgateway500.php

You can defintitely connect your IPOD and control it from the central PCM unit. You can even connect USB memory sticks to it and access these via the PCM plus you get an AUX Stereo input. I spoke to progressive today (www.progressiveice.com) and they will start shipping this unit in early September - approx £250. They recommended a dealer and installer (www.themotormediacompany.co.uk) based in West London and they will fit and supply also.

Nice...

Just took delivery of my 997tt and asked for an ipod connection but they could not do it. However, had a Nokia Bluetooth system fitted instead of the buildt-in telephone where you need second SIM card. Bluetooth soooo much better.
Car is a blast by the way. Took it from Denmark to the UK last night. Have never driven in anything that fast before. It feels so solid as if it has been carved out of a single block of aluminium - a huge leap from previous models in my IMHO.

Just had a Nav-TV Ipod converter fitted to work with the MOST bus & it is fantastic. You can control the ipod playlist & individual track selection from the PCM module. Absolutely no interface issues at all

"this could be what you're after:

Is it really plug and play? I have 6 cd changer in late 02 996 C2. Would this work? Looks like it may do the trick but I am reluctant to buy if not easy to fit or compatible?

Just fit a Dension ICE-Link 500.

www.ipodcarkitdirect.co.uk/iPod_Car_Kit/Multiple_Device_Adapters/Dension_Gateway_Interfaces/Dension_ice%3ELink_Gateway_500

Here's some instructions on how to fit it into a Cayman. It should be exactly the same for a 911 manufactured after 2003.
