Spotted... Me... Tomorrow... In My V8S!

Wayhey, seems like I'm finally going to hear that awesome noise again when I pick up my P&J tomorrow from Dulford and pry it from the capable hands of Richard Smith

Wish me luck - I've almost forgotten what it looks like or how to drive it...

Note to self: do not drive into floods in a TVR, however foggy it is.

I'm picking it up this afternoon, assuming I can get a tax disc.

Do you mean the classic car day, tomorrow?

I'm severely tempted but failed the noise test last year and had to do the parade. I might go for that again.

I can't remember how I managed to get into the area where all the TVRs were parked. I parked up with them last year but I had a track pass already bought which I then got a refund on after I failed on noise.

It's sad, isn't it, that I have to post my own spotted?

The only time my car has been spotted on the road by another PHer (silverback mike) my g/f was driving!

Hoping for many miles to come in which to be spotted.

Yep - it's the Classic day. There's TVR parking arranged and I have some track time (if I pass the noise restriction test )

I don't think this counts as a spotted - we saw your car being driven back to Dulford by Richard after its road test on Thursday when we took our V8S in for MOT/minor bits & pieces. It sounded excellent! Does a
spotted only count if it's driven by the owner? Hope you're enjoying having it back

Wayhey - my first dirty weekend for 2 1/2 months! Hugely chuffed with how well the car is running - it ran sweetly before (the incident) and now it just purrs. And that bloody manifold blowing noise has gone thanks to a new one fitted.

Enjoying running it in and have probably put 300 miles on now (Castle Combe and Exmoor).

Have 4 probs with it though - when I picked it up, first turn of the car and nothing. Richard was summoned who summoned a lad with a booster pack who summoned some amps from it and the car started. 10 minutes down the road after filling up with petrol... won't start. Richard kindly comes out with the booster and gets it fired up. 45 minutes of gentle cruising up the motorway, stopped engine at destination, decide to see if battery charged back up... won't start.

Halfords > £75 > New Battery 072 570 amp > Engine fires!

Next problem, my droopy mirror is back so I'm going to drill a new grub screw hole in a more accessible place and get the damn thing fixed once and for all.

Third problem, my rear lights are still playing up. Right brake light flashes when I'm indicating right. A non-working front left indicator seems to have sorted itself out over the weekend though.

Fourth problem... I need a petrol tanker to follow me around...
