Just starting out.....

After testing a few different cars over the last couple of months I think I have come around to the fact that it must be a 911 (996) next. Tried the Cayman and investigated the Z4M Coupe but keep coming back to the 911.

However even though I have now got my head around the different models I don't know what sort of spec to look for and what came as standard.

What was the standard spec of a 02upwards C2 ? What are the essential extras (for go not show) ?
What is the service interval ? and lots of other newbie questions. Can I get an OPC to do the warranty check for a car that does not have complete OPC history ? What are the limitations of the warranty (8 years/100k miles ?)

Likewise what is the service interval on a mk2 GT3 ?

service every 12k, OPC warranty to 125k or 10 years IIRC...

Service every two years if two years is reached before 12k miles - at least that is the case for the late model years. It was every 1 year before that.

i thought it was every 1 year/12k - my understanding was the 2 years was from 2004 onwards (so 997)
