From paint (again) 
Now sporting the thickest paint job ever seen on an Ultima (looks as if you can dive into it now), the Can-Am is back and looking F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S!
- pics coming once I've given it a good polish
Even better, during the hour long drive home in thick traffic, the car was a joy to drive. The fans didn't come on at all during the drive - only when I did the long reverse into the workshop to park up. I tried the aircon for the first time and had to set it to the lowest setting it's that good
Lovely cold blast of air to the face and nice chilly legs! The GTR's aircon used to freeze up and stop working so well after about 30mins, not so the Can-Am.
Other joys were being able to stop without stalling, have a consistent 800rpm idle with or without the aircon on and of course, counting the dropped jaws of envious onlookers
I can't believe how good it is on the road and boy, does it go
Dare I say it, it almost feels 'normal' to drive?!? For an Ultima, that's something I can tell you

Is that something to watch for, ref the freezing of the aircon in the GTR?
As you know I am in to the 4th month of my GTR project and looking to pick up anything like this in advance...just so I am warned and then I can try to get around problems like this?
Any help or observations will be appreciated!

Good news stig ,great day for a ride in a can-am, went out last night late on 9 ish just as it was getting dark absolutely stunning drive lots of cool air plenty of headroom !!!!!!just the glow of the lights and the wail of a V8 !!!! you have got to do it Chris it is awsome !!!!!!!!!!!!!simon

Hi Brdee, not sure whether it's that common, but I know other owners who've had issue with it. You can tell as the aircon seems to warm up after a while. Turn it off for a bit, then back on and it's all OK again.
Not even sure where/why it freezes (if that's what's happening) or how to prevent it?

Definitely chap. Used to love the GTR at night with all the dials glowing blue
The cool air adds a few bhp too
