Just heard Ben Shephard announce on GMTV that he loves TVR's. Great publicity for the brand but I'm sure that went straight over most womans heads. Wrong target audience.

a couple of the lads out of the prodigy owned TVR's at one time or another. believe Kieth had a yellow Cerb with a special engine in it that went like sh!t off a shovel and Maxxim and Liam had a Griff.
good lads! don't know if they still own one now though.

Apparently not, Kieth had a falling out with Tiv over problems with the engine, Liam's not had one since he had a black Chimeara and i think Maxim still has a Green/Blue Griff 500. From what i hear, Liam has a passion for Ferrari's and has some nice examples like an F40 in his garage. He laso has a Mclaren F1. Its ironic as the house he lives in now near Gt. Dunmow, Essex, the guy who lived in there previously was killed along with 2 passengers when his Mclaren F1 left the road and hit a tree, back in 98/99?? I don't know if you recall that incident? He was Chris Dawes of MicroMuse, sold his shares, became a millionaire, bought loads of cars, did some charlie and got busted for it. My brother used to work at the local Rolls Royce/Bentley dealership and he came in there one day and bought something like 8 cars!!!

Actually I think that will do more harm to the brand! Ben Shephard is too nice just like that other gimp Alistair Appleton (don't ask! i will rant on and on). Prodigy members are more appropriate.

Indeed he hasn't...a mate of mine is a trader and he phoned me from Premier Auctions in Leeds the day that it went through for sale. Made £43K if memory serves but it was still nearly new then and also made something of a premium due to the DB name on the V5!

I think Gary Numan has a Tuscan or at least did.

Brent, one of the guys in the body shop left a stencilled likeness of his hero Mr."Cars" on the transmission tunnel of all the cars he worked on. If you ever have your carpets up you may find your's may be one of his.

The cool bit is that it turned out Numan's car was one of Brent's and he proudly kept the email confirming Gary had found the signiture, saying and how special it made his car for him as he didn't know it was there beforehand, with a photo of the pair at a gig in top of his tool box for everyone to see.

Off at a tangent, but...

Spot on!

Brent was at the London Thunder and I was lucky enough to be his chauffeur for the day - he's worked at the factory for 17 years, and the ride in my Tuscan was his first ride in a TVR ever...

A brilliant guy!

er... I can neither confirm nor deny whatever it might be you are reffering to... boxedin...a bit before my time*.

rejn, I was at LT2006 too, but kept a fairlylow profile. What an awsome day/sound/smell/sight, it well and truley reminded me why I put my hands into the scared craggy state they are in.
