What to look for if buying an S??
Discussion
Ive been speaking to numerous people about which model TVRs are best to buy and theres so many conflicting opinions which tend to be slightly biased towards the models owned.
I love the shape of the S and the Ford V6 sounds lurvely, but what do you have to look for/look out for when searching around an S1/2/3?????????
I know the Ford lump is a pretty hard wearing beast and can cover many miles, but surely (as with any car) theres issues with said models to look out for...possible pitfalls and such

Chassis is all important. Check it thoroughly but particularly-
Outriggers - under the door sill and especially behind the front whells where they take a pounding from rubbish chucked up by the tyres.
Seat bealt mounts - Plates inside the rear wheel arches which suffer from the same dirt/muck problem as the front of the riggers.
Trailing arms.

taking into account everything dougc says it may come down to personal taste, the S3 has longer doors making getting in an out easier, but the dash on the S3 may not appeal as much as the dash layout of the S2, the S1 has the older 2.8 engine, but find the style that floats your boat and buy the best condition one that you can afford, you won`t regret it!!
just make sure its LOUD!
just make sure its LOUD!
