Would anyone be interested in a day at Dunsfold

last one was a hoot, agree with Justin tho, more actual driving time required

Dear All,
I spoke to Graham yesterday about a second Noble day at Dunsfold. This is a call for expressions of interest. We could run a day, for approx 10 cars, morning skills sessions in two groups without the crossover so more track time, afternoon on the Stig circuit, probably more than one car at a time. Cost would in the region 200-250 per car.

If there are more than 10 people interested then we can start looking for dates. This would be a weekday event. Graham and one other pro-racer would instruct.

So if you would be intereted in more details post here now.

Graham also reminded mne that he does personalised 1:1 training which he thinks is actually better in the long term. More details here

I can't predict what track time would be, but 4 hrs am and 3 hrs pm divided between 10 cars with two groups running in the morning and one in the afternoon ought to be at least as much as a track day. Also I'm picking up a desire from some people who are at the novice end and they'd get some exercises rather than just blasting along the track. The same sort of thing that Andy Walsh does.

I'm sure observers would be welcome.

I would be interested in that, I'm a novice I had an Academy day with motorsport events 2 weeks ago doing similar exercises to the Andy Walsh day (I did this 2yrs ago in an elise) the exercises first and then a good amount of track time would be great. Would the track time be with instuctor? What day of the week would this be done on?

OK so far;

Justin
Adrian W
Phil Bretty
Paul (worty) subject to dates
Martin (bondy)
Lucozade
Owen

so we need a few more to make it viable. Any beginners or relative novices who want to get more from their cars interested?

You'll only feel like commiting suicide if you do

Martin.

PS - if this is happening in or after September I'm in.

I live 4 miles from Dunsfold and would be right up for it.
Funnily enough i e-mailed David Mcallister[the owner of airfield]earlier in week to try and book circuit for a day,a friend had previously done so and hired the circuit for £1,000 for the day (£500 to Chris McAllister and £500 to charity) and 10 or so petrol heads had a great day hooning around the circuit. Sadly local residents are kicking up a stink about noise and he wasn't able to repeat the day. He is however applying for planning permission for such events and hopes to be able to offer them in a few months.

Definitely count me on on this day though.

OK so far;

Justin
Adrian W
Phil Bretty
Paul (worty) subject to dates
Martin (bondy)
Lucozade
Owen
Slow Ginn
Karl Bicknell
Gregg
Martin (if its september)

This looks enough to move to the next step - looking for a date. What do people feel, August, Septemeber, July probably too soon.

Paul I'm in OZ most of August.

It might be a good idea to get it close to the next Owners day meet. That way the novices (like me) will be able to put the training to use before some of its lost.
