I've just bought some Bridgestone RE720's for the back of mine. They are the replacement for the originals. Got them from www.etyres.co.uk and I can really recommend them. Good price, friendly people and they'll come out to you on a Saturday

Had 4 fitted at National Tyre (in Northampton) last Nov for £240.00, which was much less than their first quote but it pays to haggle, tell them you had a cheaper price elsewhere from a local indie "I can't remember his name but I've got it here somewhere" and then see what they say!! If you don't ask you don't get........

I had a chat with my local indie tyre place and he did not think that the Bridgestones were good, well not as good as the SO2's , said that the compound was a lot harder and tended to break away on a lightweight powerfull car as the Tiv without much progression , what has been your experience ? I must admit the guy did say that they were a bstd to fit and may have colored his view.
I am also looking at new tyres at the moment, got a quote for Toyo CF1's of 60 quid each fitted and including VAT from my local MCC branch. I have been looking at various prices on mytres.co.uk and when you consider cost of fitting, balancing and disposal of the old rubber this seems very reasonable. Also according to tyretest.com they appear to perform better than the Bridgestones in every test except grip in snow, which I won't be worrying too much about.
So, does anyone have any reasons/experience that would cause them to advise against the use of the Toyo's?

60 squid good price ! don't know MCC in this part of the world ( apart from the cricket club ! )what does it stand for ? Lots of support for Bridgestones which I am surprised about and although quite keen on the Toyos I think there is higher mileage in the Bridgestones because of the hard compound. Are the CF 1 's the tyers they supply for Scoobies ?
Not sure about scoobies. Toyo's seem popular with some of the Griff and Chim boys but they tend to use T1R's I think which have a sexier tread pattern but unfortunately are not available in the 60 profile for the S. They are available in 55 profile but I am a bit worried that lower profile may not look right in the S arch, I realise its not much but the S arches are not exactly full on 60's let alone 55's..
I think MCC may be a West Yorks only chain but there is a dealer locator at www.toyo.co.uk you could give that a go and try haggling with a few.
I have ordered mine but they wont be fitted until the end of the week, will have to try and bed em in real quick before the hoon on saturday :-).

I've got 55s on the front of mine (fitted by a previous owner). They do look odd with the arches, also the car tramlines quite badly which I think is partly due to the lower profile tyres.
