I've just received my fuel pump (Street rod Part Nr 11203 150gals/hr)
And Regulator (Part Nr 13301) ebay bargains.

Is anyone out there running these? If so how and where is the best place to mount them?
The Regulator needs to go after the pump, correct?
I'm only going to be running a one pump set up, is it recommend to run a fuel swirl pot?

Hi Peter

What engine are you going to be using? The pump is fine for carburettor use, or for feeding a swirl pot for injection purposes. The Reg (30-70psi)that you have is the same as mine but that is designed for injection use as it regulates pressures that are to high for carb use. If your using carbs then you want the reg #13201 (5-12psi). The reg sits at the farthest point of your fuel feed line.

I'm using Aeromotive stuff for my EFI, but their website has the instruction sheets in pdf format if you do not have paper copies supplied with your parts.

I am planning on using an LSx engine (got to find one yet), and run the standard Chevy injection.
Hence the higher Pressure Regulator

I’ll take a look on there web site for instructions, not sure why I did not get them as the parts are all brand new.

Hi Peter

If your going fuel injection then you'll need a pump capable of producing high pressure.

that pump is not going to work for an ls1. you need 58-62 psi of fuel pressure. I run
an aeromotive A1000 (AE11101) fuel pump and an aeromotive A1000 regulator (AE13101). Areomotive recomends atleast -10 lines into the pump and it has to be gravity fed. I use a holly pump to supply fuel to a surge tank.

Hi Mark

I'm using the same pump and reg as you. I'm installing mine next week. The air intake looks close to the bulkhead. Can you get an air feed in ok?

Dave,
The intake manifold on the LSx engines can be reversed so the inlet is to the rear. See my site for this setup - hopefully first startup this weekend.

My throtel body isn't located on the air intake it's off to the passenger side.

air filter is in the back by the turbo and is feed by a scoop in the body

"If your going fuel injection then you'll need a pump capable of producing high pressure"

Balls thought it was too good to be true.

What pressure doe the fuel need to run at?
If it 60psi I should be able to still use the Regulator.
The pump 11101 is a 70psi, but they say you should run a cooler.....

What about the 11106 runs at 65psi.

Anyone want a 11206 Fuel pump.......
F*&*&K*&!!!!
Ha ha

I've been having a look at your fuel photos, it looks like your running 2 pumps

Do you have to do this even with your monster injection pump?

I was told the aeromotive pump does not like to pull fuel to it so I went with a fuel surge tank. the holly pump is a low pressure carb pump that simply fills the surge tank. You could probably get away with just running the aeromotive pump.

Mark,

Very interested to see your set-up! I am looking (with not a little trepidation) at an LSx...to add to my build - probably the LS7 stock although have not made my mind up yet, so collecting as many real experiences as they are offered!

...but very interested in your experiences with the turbo addition. Is it running and what are your conclusions? What have you learned from this?

I'll have a look under the hood when I'm in the garage next to doubl check what the previous owner did on mine, though I'm running a carb

I have the tanks cross joined via a -6 line for equalization, and another -6 comming from each that comes into a T joiner, which then goes via a non-standard electric pump to a fuel reg (via an inline fuel filter), and then off to the carb...

There is still an old pump in the line, which was left there to provide a bit of extra juice when the previous owners NOS system was activated...

I don't seem to have a fuel swirl pot, but, I've never had any problems with fuel deliver except the usual stalling under heavy braking that you get with most Holleys.

I like the idea of a fuel swirl pot your one looks really nice, I understand you fuel system.
I'm not sure how you could run that set with only one pump any how.
Mmmm more thinking needed.

I like the turbo, drives normally under part throtel, and all hell breaks lose when you step on it. I am just a fan of turbos and love they way they sound. Cheap way to make lots of pow
