I can help with some of your questions, but not all, as I have a MK4, not a GTR.
The G50 should be ok for the power you're putting through it, as long as it's in good condition. If you're buying a second hand box, I's recommend having it rebuilt by somebody who knows what they're doing (Glebe Engineering are the best people I know for that sort of thing, and it won't cost you an arm and a leg).
As far as suspension goes, it's all a matter of personal preference. The standard set up will be fine for road use, however fast you drive it. The advantage of adjustable suspension is that it enables you to set up the car just how you like it. You may prefer a stiffer or softer ride than the standard set up gives you. The only way to find out is to drive a car with the standard stuff on, then see if you're happy with it.
If you're going to use the car on the road (so the odd bit of extra weight isn't going to matter), I'd suggest you go for air con. My car is used for racing, so it's air con-less. It gets damn hot in there, even on a cold day, and if you were to be sitting in traffic on a hot day, you'd melt quite quickly.
As for wheel widths, have a check around for which tyres are available in what sizes before you buy tyres. There isn't an awful lot of choice in the wider sizes, and if you want a particular tyre, you may find there's a maximum size they go up to. I run a Yoko A032R on mine (we have to run a road legal tyre in my series), which is a great tyre, but the leagest size they make goes onto a 17x10 wheel. I could go for a wider tyre, but it wouldn't give me as much grip on the track. Again, you pays your money and makes your choice.
Hope this is of help.

Hi Domster, I just put my GTR on the road. I would suggest you go for the adjustable suspension, especially if you plan track use. As for the wheels, pay your money & take your choice. Many owners have gone their own way with this so plenty of advice is out there. You MUST have the a/c. No opening windows, big curved screen and any amount of sun = cooking. The vents work fine above about 35mph but you don't get the air flow below that. As for £38k, that would build a very nice car if your carefull and you won't regret it!!!!
