Position of hose/loop style windscreen washers

Just about to drill a couple of holes to run the wee hoses through to the cerb/tuscan/chimaera style windscreen washer 'loops' that fit on the wipers. Not that it will make a huge amount of difference where I put the holes as its a rubber hose, but I may as well put them in as standard a place as possible - and I don't have a car as a reference here. So, if you're looking from the front of the car back to the wiper mount, and the wiper is parked at say 2:00 (as per big hand on a clock), where does the hose come through (I'm guessing 11:00), and how far away from the base of the wiper?

Just been out to check on the Griff and it is at exactly 6 o'clock and as close to the base plate as you can get it. There is a nozzle sitting in the hole to connect the pipes together (lots of horror stories and references in Bible about losing the inside pipe in the bodywork!) and the external rubber hose makes a loop around the left hand side & over the top of the hub. Are you putting wipers on the racer or is this another Tiv?

Many thanks. Wipers are indeed for the Tuscan. I don't have the problems of losing anything in the bodywork though as the bottom of the panel where the wipers yes, wipers plural, on a Tuscan racer! are is totally open to the inside of the car. Main reason for wanting it in the right place was I'd seen the leven aftermarket washer thingies, and just in case they relied on the hose being in a standard place I didn't want not to be able to fit them at some later date.

You don't have to worry cos Leven give you an excess of hose which you have to trim to length. The biggest problem there is cutting them too short! If you get the Leven ones there is quite a lot about fitting them on the TVRCC forum (though IIRC we hijacked another thread so wipers is not in the thread title. Doh!)
