What do you guys think of this?

Would you opening yourself up for a collection of huge bills or does it appear to be a genuine car?

Also if it's a finance reposession, does this mean it is recorded on the HPi register?

Paul,

Personally I wouldn't buy any vehicle from ebay especially a Ferrari.

However having said that I noticed they posted up some info on the last service yesterday and the dealer who did it. You could contact them and ask them for any info etc. Failing that make sure you have it thoroughly inspected by a Ferrari specialist before parting with any cash.

Cheers Frostie,

I was thinking along the same lines. Not sure of the process involved in buying something like this from Ebay and whether you could arrange for an inspection prior to purchase.

Tempting though it is, I would hate for a dream come true (i.e. buying my first Ferrari) to turn into a nightmare !

I agree that you should talk to the dealer who serviced the car first to see what condition it is really in.

I'm not really familiar with e-bay but wonder if there's a way that you can contact the seller directly. Prsumably he or she isn't committed to selling through e-bay and so maybe you could negotiate directly and do a deal 'subject to inspection'. The owner just wants to sell the car and would, I'm sure, be happy to talk to a keen buyer.

I bought my car privately and it drives brilliantly so just ensure that it's a good straight car before you go to any expense.

Good luck!

You can contact the seller prior to placing a bid, and from this you could arrange to go and see the car before hand, if you look in the sellers history it looks like he shifts a few cars, and one of his deals (the Cobra Rep) has the sellers mobile No on it

I have got a little more info regarding the car from the seller, but unfortunately I can't get to view the car before the auction ends (due to work) so I think this one will slip through my fingers.

Shame, but I'm sure there must be more out there.
